I'm the complete opposite I got a Ipod a little while back but returned it because I couldn't get all my music on there. I plug it into my desktop and transfer library through Itunes (the worst program ever) then plug it into my laptop to get the rest of the music and it says I must delete the current music before syncing??? But I want the current music. Also I couldn't get the music from the desktop on my ipod onto the laptop.

So the ipod went back to the store. What a waste of time...

I second Cowon Electronics. I'm a long time patronizer of their products. Started with the iAudio 5 moved to the iAudio U3 and now just ordered the iAudio 7 as a Christmas present for a friend of mine.

They have great sound quality and have good customer support. I broke the display in a crash and they swapped the unit for $20. Plus, they are local. Somewhere in Irvine I believe.

Hmm... Anopod Explorer would have fixed all your problems. :?: I use it and it makes my iPod work like a thumb drive.

    Anopod vs iTunes

Does the 3rd party fimware void the warranty?

I would hate to have an Ipod break and no warranty. It seems amongst my friends I've seen quite a few break. :?:

I used Anopod and I found that it messed up some of my tracks. It had features that I liked, but others that I didn't like. I ended up ditching it and just using iTunes.

    Your mileage may vary.

If you mean something like RockBox than 'yes' I think that would void the warranty. If your asking about Anopod that replaces iTunes not the firmware on the iPod.

I use Anopod to drag and drop songs from my computers to my iPod andvice versa. Not sure about the other features only thing on my iPod is music and a few podcast.
