    Hmmm

They say it's better for you than a lager, but isn't stout bottom fermented at lower temperatures?

Thanks for the link. I've been trying to convince my wife that I only have Guinness after rides it's the medicinal properties.

When I made the change to a vegetarian I was amazed at how much animal product went into everything- I was shocked that some beer, many beers for that matter, are not considered vegetarian-
    Here is a list:

I am a fan of the Belgium Brew- But that's no longer an option for me-

stout is a type of ale, so ale yeast (top fermenting) is used. The old ad saying "Guinness for Strength" rings true to today!

The Guinness ad campaign has always been 'Guinness is good for you', 'Guinness for strength', etc. Maybe they already knew something the general public didn't.

My mistake. I had a memory of wanting to make stout but not having the equipment. Maybe it was porter I was thinking of? Hmm.:-k

Stout is also typically fermented at higher (ale) temperatures. The weird one is "steam" beer (Anchor trakemarked that word) which is bottom fermented at high temps.

All your Guinness are belong to us!
