We heard the trucks and then the Heli appeared. We were heading back and came upon the scene a little late on Upper Laurel. She was already in the Heli. Apparently she was coming down Upper Laurel from 73 and either on purpose or accident hit a small jump on the left hand side. We were told, that she fell badly, landed on her head, split her helmet in two and was unconscious for *30 mins*...yes you read that right. The Fireman confirmed the unconsciousness but said said she was conscious now (before the Heli lifted off) and doing better and then the heli was off. I always think that she probably got up this AM and was looking forward to a day of fun... not what she had planned. Hopefully we will hear good news at some point....Please send some good vibes I hope she is doing better...
I had friend who were at the scene..didn't mention the 30 minutes unconscious...BIG healing vibes. I heard she was following her boyfriend on a jump..ouch
i heard it on the radio this morning. they did say that she had been out for a while and that other than that appeared to be ok(at least no trauma). Thats gotta be scary to be out cold in the wilderness and wake up in those surroundings and conditions. healing vibes!
Every time I head out, I always hope that this isn't the day I crash hard...positive vibes is sent her way.
I happen to follow her and her boyfriend on Instagram, and I believe she's OK, but with a broken arm. She posted about it a few hours later. Glad it wasn't anything too crazy serious.
I was passing through LCR around 10:20am and saw a couple ambulance's/firetrucks in the main LCWP lot. I'm guessing this is why they were there.
Glad to hear she was alright. I saw the helicopter while trying to build courage to head down the rock roller on SS across the way. Needless to say that it wasn't much of a motivator...
