Ride Report Yet ANOTHER act of (STR) kindness......

2011 OVER THE HUMP

Week 4: Man on the left snapped a few race pics of JSD...

Week 12: The gentleman asked if I knew the man in the framed picture below
(very kind of him... he thought JSD would enjoy the pics)

Priceless!

He was kind enough to send me a full resolution copy of... 8-[
(just in case JSD wants to make a poster-sized print)

What's next for JSD? :-k

Nice jersey jsd ......Im gonna send that pic to my good buddy jimmy at la habra I'm sure he would like to see it.....

I did get back on the bike and did finish the race. But the next week I did it again on the other side of the course in front of Thomas. I decided to take a ride back to first aid, since I landed on the same shoulder. While cleaning up the wounds she commented on the older scars, told her they were from last week. She asked are you going to race next week, told her yes. Her remark was you people are crazy or something along that line. I miss the OTH races, can't wait for next year. Yes you are right I do need to work on my DH skills.

Why bump an old thread?

-It's a cool thread.
-Because a singular act of kindness LITERALLY changed a man's life.
-Old school STR members should enjoy taking a stroll down memory lane.
-To show new members what we are all about.
-To remind everyone that bonding (in person) is much more rewarding than following people on Facebook.

That's all for now!

(pretty sure this won't be the only thread that gets bumped)

Ahh yes, my first FL ride was w JSD and OTHRIDER. I thought JSD was wearing flip-flops on that ride but it was actually really really wet sneakers from finishing the CC the day before. You da man JSD!!

Very cool thread and an amazing community!

My first ride with any STR members was last night's Fully Loop Social ride. The group got split due to flats and blown hubs for a while, and JSD was the sweep for the group I was in. Awesome guy and was encouraging the whole way through the trail. I'm in my lowest gear struggling up a couple of the hills and here is JSD bored on his single speed pulling away from me. Dude is an animal.

Thanks to Dino for the warm welcome last night, too. It was great to meet some cool new people to ride with. Looking forward to Thursday nights with everyone.
