Looking for lightweight *PINK* flats. Saw these on a chick's bike in dville.

    http://xpedo.com/pedals/mx12.htm

Interesting design & they're cheap... But they're *cheap*. I'm concerned about durability & performance. They come in around 370g. Straitline Makes a pink pedal, too, but they're small tanks under your feet at 518g. Too beefy. Want something closer to my wah wah's but in pink! Is that asking too much??

Does not look like one would get much bite out of those pins.

Some sand paper, light primer and pink spray paint or go to a powder coater for more durability . Then you
can run any pedal you want in Pink!

    DURABILITY
    1. You weigh next to nothing
    2. I don't see you hucking 20' to flat
    3. Not many places in SoCal for you to take a direct boulder hit

    PERFORMANCE
    1. It has eight strategically located pins
    2. If the pins are too short, replace them with longer BMX / stainless pins in a length of your choosing!

    Fullerton Bikes carries them!
If you want an expert opinion, ask for Ryan (manager... expert-level DH racer... pedal expert)

OMG!!!! I think so!!!! But are they good? It's between the welgo's & the blackspires. I really REALLY like the looks of the flower (heart) pedals but think the blackspires might be more practical. Then again when have I ever chosen function over form?

wow. ok, you obviously did not click through the link that fearless fly was kind enough to post up for all of us, so here it is:

    SUB4 PEDALS

CNC’d from custom extruded aircraft grade 6061-T6 Aluminum
17mm Super Low-Profile parallelogram body is slightly concave to increases grip and shaped to deflect impacts
    92mm x 92mm surface
Sealed Bearing and proprietary KY bushing internals with nickel plated forged cromoly spindles
Replaceable steel 'T' pin studs are plated for corrosion resistance and install from the underside of the pedal to better withstand impacts
    10 pins per side
    Simple, sexy and lightweight
    Laser etched graphics
    Made in CANADA
INTENDED USE: DH, FreeRiding/Slalom Racing and All Mountain

    Size(s): 9/16"
Color(s): Black, Red, Blue, Green, Light Green, Purple, Pink, Grey, Gold, Silver and Burnt Orange
    Weight: 350g

and i'll post the link for the pedals that strobe was kind enough to search out for me:

    http://www.wellgo.com.tw/product.asp?category=multi-function

    Body:

    Spindle:
    Bearing:
    Size:
    Option:
    Weight:
    Origin:

    TREKKING

    Aluminum 6061 extruded/
    CNC machined / Anodized
    Cr-Mo
    DU / Sealed
    92.6 * 90.1 * 28 [mm]
    C134V:V-Pin / C134C:C-Pin
    306g/pr
    Taiwan

so, unless sub 400g is *NOT* lightweight, i'll NEVER find what i'm looking for! #-o

oh, & i don't think i'll save a 100g by not using all the traction pins. but thanks for the tip.

imho Blackspire sub-4 is the "better" pedal compared to the wellgo c134. One thing about the c134's I'd be concerned with is the unssupported part of the pedals by the outer edge being proned to getting crushed or mangled easy. If the pedals are really only 304 grams for the pair then they are likely to be using lower strength material...maybe, maybe not. With that in mind, these seem to be more casual trail riding pedals vs fr/dh pedals... but the wellgo's would look awesome on your bike. Buy them both and swap on the sub4s for the more gnarly stuff.
