    Hello Everyone,

I am looking for a Heavy Punching Bag that is 100 pounds or more. I don't have a set price I want to spend, so let me know what you have and how much (I'm sure we can reach an agrenment). The bag is actully for my friend; and I've been doing some searching and I am geting mixed advice as to the contents of the bag, the fabric of the bag, the brand of the bag and the weight.

    Questions:
    - Does his wheight really have anything to do with what size bag to get?
    - Does the qaulity and what the bag is filled with really matter?
    - Are they difficult to install?

Any advice will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you all in Advance,
    Cheers!!

+1 for Ringside ... I've only ever had great service from them.

I've got a punching bag in my home gym. It's not the quality one the other guys mentioned but it weighs 100 lbs+. It's one of those jobs that you fill the base with either water or sand and isn't very expensive (I got it on sale for less than $100).

It's still pretty good quality though and I've been giving it loads for nearly five years without any rips or tears.

If you've got the budget then go with a Ringside, Everlast, or something similar; but the one I use gets the job done :bang:

You can even cut and paste a picture of your bosses face on it for extra incentive

Mine is on a giant Tubular steel base that is like seven and a half feet, despite all that weight and a hundred pound bag I have still knocked it over with round houses. The advantage here for a heavier on is not to have to stack plates on the base (if you rent and can't use red heads). Depending on your buddies intentions he could be best served getting a tower of power/bag stand to also do dips, chin ups and, leg raises in addition to boxing. Whatever you do don't hang it with a toggle bolt or "the Hammer" will get you.
