I am hardly a roadie (anyone who knows me can vouch). Sometimes it rains, and i don't like rutty trails. I'd rather be on a mountain bike ;)

Forget the trees, what about the snails?

One of my favorite road rides has a section that is full of little tiny snails at some part of the year. They are the color of the road and there will be hundreds of them within a 1/4 mile. Sure, they squish when hit, but I don't want to slaughter anything on a ride.:-s
