funny vid! but the debate is pretty much over, isn't it? 29ers filled the XC podium at sea otter. DH? not so much (i guess it has its limitations). some people always hate what's different and/or what they don't understand. whatever melts your butter...

All those 29er riders should hang this from their saddles:

I have a couple of friends that bagged on me for years about riding 29 inch wheels...called my wheels "Clown Wheels"...now they are on them and you all know who you are.

That vid's pretty funny (and has an element of truth to it). :)

I do not hate 29ers. For me personally, 26" wheels have always worked perfectly, and all the pro riders i most respect use them as well. There's no need for me to get a 29er... ever.

I guess JD really got you going with that video? So sensitive. :)

By the way, I don't recall seeing one 29'er when I was up at Whistler for a week last week.

And I don't remember seeing any 30-40 lbs triple crown, single ring bikes, at X-County races. Your point is?

If you had bothered to read the original discussion as well as watch the video, we (especially JD, the guy who created the video) were talking about 29er DH bikes.

PS You might want to watch the video again. It is in the title as well as the opening segment. Some riders are so sensitive about 29ers ...

I did. I saw at least one WFO just riding the park and also for the 4 Queens race saw a few more some Hard Tails, a couple Tallboys (which some friends followed one down his test run and he was quick they said). I forget the whole route but they started at the top and here is what I could find for the bottom part. Crack Addict, Longhorn, Monkey Hands, and the big GLC drop.

Wow, too bad I can't see the vid. I ride clown wheels, wear spandex, and am a DH pu$$y. The vid would probably be pretty funny.

Oh, and ask anyone. I'm fairly ridiculous, so 9rs must be a joke! ;)

Can anyone post a link to the hosting site?

That comment (and I know that you're just kidding on some level...) is why people hate 29ers.

OK, "hate" is probably too strong a word, but the "look at me, I have a 29er" thing got old a long time ago.

Here's what sucks: It's not the wheel size. It's the "in your face" comments and grandstanding that go along with the big wheels.

Edit...just watched the video. It didn't change my point of view, but it did make me smile.
