When is this race going to happen? Do you have to have a team of 3? will it be 3 loops, relay sytle and the best time wins?

I'm not sure if it's just my browser, but the race info page for the Whiting race (the entire page, excluding the menu) seems to be a link to "oakley.com"...

I love that Dreaded Hill must be ridden in order to be legit unless you are a beginner...I know my surgically repaired knee might be faster running up it.

I'm interested to see how this comes off...time to sandbag strava times.

Just curious if Whitng Ranch will be closed for the time-trial racing. Err... closed to the general public that is. I would love the chance to go flat out on ANY trail knowing I could only hurt myself.

Rules say park will not be closed but the course will be marked but to watch out for people who mistakenly wander onto the course. They have priority.

It's the racing and training forum...If you want to race for free, enjoy Strava after you upload your rides. Stuff costs money even in a pseudo-free market society (but that's for another forum).

BTW, all the other courses were open to the public during their run and every non-racer on the trails were great about giving the racers an opportunity to maintain speed...we just need to make sure everyone thanks them as we blow by.

The race is March 10th, I will put that on the post but the info is on the website at endurostuffevents.com
The race is a time trial format, one lap. Teams or 3 or more & individual racers build up points for the full series of races in the park for the finally at Caspers in November. Awards will be given on this race day for the top 3 racers in each category. Teams will be awarded at the end of the series. It is not a relay.

Yes, the course will be closed to other trail users but the rest of the park will still be open. We will have people posted at key spots to alert other users!

I did an Enduro race in San diego at Black MT open space.
Paying money so you can blast down a trail you normally can't is totally worth it.

650 ft of gain in less than a mile? Yes, it is.

    Sounds like fun. I'll join.
