Did you run into a couple from Georgia? Thanks to their pics I'm heading up next summer.

I only wish we had been kidnapped and then forced to ride Whistler until closing day, but the Canadians let us leave and go back to the dry dust bowl of SoCal. We did run into one former SoCal resident now living up there:
CB's bike got a few upgrades before we left. Her old fork crapped out just a week before we needed to leave, so the guys at the Path got us a Lyrik and installed the correct spring kit in plenty of time. She got a chainguide and some DH tires too. Both bikes were almost problem free all week. My Fox 40 started spewing oil the last day, but that's it.
My rims took quite a beating too. This is with 27 psi in the rear. Just two of the many dents. No pinch flats however!

They were super cool, and great riders too. They said they didn't have much DH experience, but they were killin' it everyday. They posted a great report on MTBR:

Gravity Camp included a Heli Drop!?? I am so there next year. I'll be taking a Gravity Camp and learn how to huck properly.
Thanks for all your photos, now I'm pretty bummed . I wanna go back.

The heli-drop was extra, not included in the camp price. It was a smokin' deal, however!

That place looks like THE Disneyland of mountain biking... and I thought Moab was the ultimate! However, I am having trouble convincing Nancy (wife) that I want... no, make that need to go to Whistler biking. She says Medicare won't cover this type of activity. 8-[
I stopped jumping several years back due to a rather nasty 8 foot jump on McGill that left me temporarily with no feeling in arms and legs after landing on the back of my neck. Whistler just encourages you to air it out. I'm afraid I'd get into major trouble.
Probably why I've taken to riding 29erSS... you go slower and crash less.

Nah...we were just busy warming up for Whistler!

I think those orange rims are the troublesome 6.1d's in disguise. DT Swiss might help you out. 8)
