Just curious if anyone here rides/lives in Huntington Beach??? Just moved back here and am looking for someone to ride around with after work if I can't get to a trail by dark.... Or if someone wants to *gasp* road ride as well ( I own a road bike)

Or if there is a ride planned, hook up and carpool...

I live in HB, but I don't think there is anywhere to ride until you get to Aliso or the Santiago Truck Trail region (whatever that is called). Looks like it is time to get a light so you can join the night rides!

I got a light.... just havent done many of the more technical trails since I didnt have any insurance untill I just started my job here at Fluor....

I need to build my skills a bit first...

You can go play with the BMXers at Sheep Hills. Hamilton @ Brookhurst. I have not been there, but my nephew drives down from Phelan to ride there.

Yeah been there.... place is kinda battered.... needs to be maintained... not sure if anyone has done much to it...

Also there is Slater trails... that place got HUGE... even bigger/better than sheep...

Im looking for others to road bike with, mountain bike on road to the beach and regular trail riding....

Sheep hills, LMAO. That was what we used to explore as kids. All the kids through out Costa Mesa used to get their wilderness fix there. It was a good place to ditch school at too. I later graduated from high school (Estancia) which over looks the hills. We had a great cross country track team because of them thar hills. And yes there used to be a shepard that had sheep in the "Gulley" as we referered to it.

Yo Neccros.. I live in HB 8) and MTB and Road Bike. We ride El Moro North of Laguna Beach... take PCH south and turn into El Moro after passing Newport Coast Drive. If you get the urge, let me know and we'll get out...you can catch me mostly on geoladders.com under PHAT TIRE.

Tomorrow, Saturday we're biking there at 7AM for 2 hours. Meet at the beach lot across the street from El Moro (free parking if you get in before 8AM vs. Ranger Station parking is pay or ticket anytime.) I'm in a black 4Runner. Any one else can join too...quick paced rides.

Road bike rides...try the ocvelo.com group. Their cool.

slater is bigger than sheep hills? wow have times changed.
I havent been to slater in honestly about 10 years!
Anyone go there back then and remember the log jump? It was a jump with a log at the bottom followed closely by another huge ass jump?
