it says ski jump. though we call a different jump the "ski jump"

is this below the fireroad and just left (facing Catalina) of that really fun, fast rounded table top that we call the "ski jump" or is it somewhere else?

just being curious.

I'm sure the next time I'm down there I'll be looking for this drop. Just part of the PV fun....finding new stuff.

later,

Not sure. I'd be up for some exploring once I heal up though. I know where that big drop in shecky's post is but I've never seen the "ski jump."

Hey Guys
The pic is titled "Ski Jump Drop " , since the ski jump is the only real reference point . If you hit the ski jump , and go straight ahead , you'll come to a bluff . Looking out towards the ocean , it'll be to your left .
Also heard some talk today of some new ladder drops on "slow or die " , or "badlands " or whatever the hell it's called .
Enjoy !

yeah, that's what I thought!! That is what exactly what I was talking about when I posted the original queston. Though we don't "huck" it, for it's more of a steep roller that you pull up on at the end.

It would be pretty cool to see someone 'huck' it, for it does have a good tranny and run-out. But what a pain in the a$$ to have to hike back up to.

Shag, thanks for the confirmation,
