Where did everyone ride this weekend?

I was too sick to race the DH at Fontana, but I just had to get a ride on my new M3.

I went to Aliso and hiked up Stairsteps, went down Rocket, hiked up Lynk, then back down Stairsteps. All trails were in primo condition!

Depending on when I feel better, I'm going to hit up Fullerton Loop early Wednesday or Thursday on my AC1 to get the legs back in shape; being sick sucks! #-o

On Sunday I did the STT/Old Camp yet again. You know how you get stuck on one trail and keep going back, hehe. Anyways, the trails were in good shape. I on the other hand had the worst chain suck I've ever seen. It tore up a bit of paint on my chain stay - just enough to make me cry :(. I had to break my chain to untangle it. After getting almost to Old Camp, I had to ditch my friends and jet back to my car, because I was late for a tsunami relief fund raiser. On my way down STT I had to swerve around a couple guys taking a break on a choke point in the trail. I couldn't recover in time and ended up flying off the trail and endo-ing into some soft dirt. Good thing, because I was going at speed. I didn't appreciate my bike landing on top of me though :-({|= . The wierd thing is that I felt totally fine, so I got up and rode on, but later last night I felt all tired, and took a 10 minute nap and when I woke up, my left shoulder was in serious pain..and still is oh well. At least I got to ride :)

raced at southridge. got killed totally, got sand in my chain and made my bike feel like a ton, but i finished regardless. i did the expert class 27-34 the 3 laps combined with the wind and a dirty chain was not pretty. oh well, next time should be better.

Rode Marshal canyon on saturday then Turnbull (7th Ave) on Sunday. Happy to squeeze in one ride each day. \:D/

Rode Fullerton Loop....after the water duct area, i went south on the horse trails for a long time to a new area that ive never been before. it seems to be a horse trail that circles around soem new property and even has some great views of the city - and takes you back to the area right before you go on the street back to the courthouse...

anyway..i was riding that..and my mind sort of blanked out as i was going down a steep part of it, my front tire got caught in a large rut, and i flew over the handlebars...i had a bloody knee and arm..but it was still pretty fun getting that much air as i flew off...

looking forward to some more riding once the leg heals...

Reminds me of some lyrics from an Atmosphere song: "I wear my scars like the rings on a pimp." 8)

..

nothign like sitting at the office w/ a sore knee to remind you that you have a life outside of this computerized corporate hell..

I did the Fontana race for the first time- Mens sport 19-26. I liked the course a lot and I did ok (1:40) besides some rear d problems. I might try it again for fun.
