whats the fastest you have gone

the fastest ive gone is 45 downhill by my house. anyone got a good story?

 

40 mph on dirt...scared the sh!t out of me

you are talking about biking, right and not other "fast" things

34.8 last weekend coming down Coal Canyon.

I frequently hit 39-41 on the dirt. Rigid is the ONLY way to fly!!

 

45 & change is the number I remember. That was from the hardtail-no susp days.

I'd assume I must have been faster since with full sus. i'll try to break 60 this weekend going up mustard.

 

According to my GPS, 42.3mph at the last Taco Tues Ride on the roller coaster section of Peters.

 

40 ish on dirt....
did 45 on road on my mtb bike on pavement... i think i was aero (im wide) and tire (2.35's) limited... and ran out of gears (2x9)

 

40 mph at El Moro and it really wasn't smart. I ride the brakes now and try to keep it way slower.

 

53 road, but rarely get over 30 on the dirt.

 

i hit 35 MPH coming down mount baldy the whole way down, and that was with my hands on the brakes the entire time...
I went fast on a dirtbike though, i hit a trail that was parrallel to the highway, and hit 5th gear full noise, and looked over, and was pacing with a porsche carrera until the guy looked over then took off. I would say i was doing 85-90

 

50.9 on my Anthem on on a steep downhill section of fireroad in Ladera Ranch. Man that was fun.

 

Sounds like my 34.8 is nothing to most. Do I get any more credit if I say it was on a hard tail SS?

 

180 ish is the fastest have ever gone on two wheels,

30 mph. Still scary! That's fast for going down Cholla.

 

48 on Monday going down Kamikaze in Mammoth....

I've hit 55+ on a snowboard there too -- scary fast!

 

52.9 mph at the 1996 or 1997 Kamakazi done at Mammoth...I forget what year it was, but it was the lasy year they did the race before they started just doing exhibition runs...that was scary fast especially since we were just skipping over the pumus and with a big 62 tooth chain ring, I ran out of gear and had to just tuck and crouch to get more speed.:bang:
