Ride Report What Happens in Mammoth goes on STR!!

Ok...that explains a few things. We crossed over a trail on the last run on Sunday that had big "LOOK!" signs. It was shortly before that section with all the sweet double jumps. That trail we crossed looked like it could have been part of A-Line - big doubles up hill from us and a huge fall-away jump right next to where we were. Someone said that it ends in the middle of nowhere. What was the name of that trail?

Hey Lee, that trail is Pipeline. You catch it off of Flow, right after the drop. It's short, but fun.

Lee, u lost me at big doubles....

Dino, are you going to let a girl show you up? IE: Demo Rider

Nice rock jump vid.

I shouldn't say anything, my panties were bunched and I failed in attendance.

In his defense... I rolled up to it twice before actually hitting it. He just rode around it.

Nothing special. Snow was only a factor on the upper trails like Kamikaze or Skidmarks.

Or if you did the first run Sunday morning on Velocity...right Allison? ;)

I don't know whatever you are talking about

I used my normal tires...

Better Late Than Never!

O.K., so I finally get time to read through the RR and look at all the pics. (busy with school, job interview, and other things)

First off, thanks to Justin and Allison for hosting and organizing the weekend festivities.

It was nice to finally meet and ride with... Roger, Nancy, Winston, Ryan, Tim, Scott, Jeff, and Ian.

It was great riding with all the regular Peeps, (you know who you are, too many to list!)

I had a great time, the trails were awesome and the comaradere was fun!

Special thanks to Ann for providing the morning nourishment!!!

Also a special thanks to all that captured the moments of the weekend, Justin, Allison, Andy, Jeff, Nancy, Scott and a very special thanks to Winston. It can't be easy carrying around that big D/SLR! And thanks Nancy for getting my best side! Err end!

I can't wait to go back, too bad I have to wait till next year.

See you all on the trails soon!

The moment you've all been waiting for.. the compilation of Mammoth:

BUMP!!! :D

The reasons: 1) "Old-school" STR members re-live memories past 2) New members will have a better idea of the good times ahead...

The Greatest Trip Ever! :bang:

P.S.- A bump or two throughout the day would be nice....

It's Wednesday, it's Bump Day for the work week!

I'd just bought my Bionicon Edison and was working up in Mammoth when I bought it. I think this pic was taken around the 8th or the 15th, the weekend before the closer.
Pretty much my very first ride on my new bike.

Sure signs of a Newbie... platforms, construction work boots, stone age helmet, no lycra, no baggies, no protection. I've since updated my wardrobe. There I was at the top, a virgin DS'er. It was cool having 6" dangling our front!

The view from the top. This pic is forever etched in my mind, I remember just buzzing with adrenaline with anticipation. New bike, first run. Yes, those are :steppie: steppies!

Allison...that is the best freakin' RR I have seen you do! Damn! I felt like was there! Truly Epic and something I would like to do in the future!:bang:

it is funny that you bumped this Dino, i have been looking through my Calendar for the summer trying to figure out how many mammoth trips I can do this summer. Who is ready to put one up on the STR calendar?

How about this with a few other deleted words?

Lee, get your mind out of the gutter. No protection means no shin or elbow guards... Would you prefer I say my front forks have 150mm of travel?
I don't think it's out of line when Den Mother posts " 6 inches?, some of us like to swing with 8 inches or more"

I'm sorry if I offended your sensibilities.
