    went through
1 shot block just before the start
1 Gu I brought halfway up B* (had 4 left over lol)
1/2 bag of chex mix at aid station 1
1 hammer gel I got at aid station 1 on the MS paved road
1/2 bag of the chex bag at the peak as well as an uncrustable
    water throughout

Sooooo much left over that was just added weight. I took too much water as well. I felt great when i finished, but I doubt i could get by with that little if i did VQ

    Hmm...lets see:

    - 3 packs Strawberry Shot Bloks, usually 3 blocks (1/2 pack) at a time. I'd try to hit these whenever i thought cramps might be coming, i.e. before descending Motorway, etc..

    - 3 gu packets. I like the chocolate ones, not only because they taste ok but they also have caffeine!

    - 2 Hammer gels from the aid stations

    - 2 bottles Cytomax, 1 bottle HEED, 3 liters water

    - 3 half Hammer bars from the aid stations

    - 1/2 pbj at 4 corners. A nice suprise.

    - Bananas and oranges at every aid station

    - Chex Mix, which i put in my pocket to eat going up WHT and actually ate at o'neill#-o

    - the best cheeseburger ever at the top of WHT.

    - E caps when i'd feel the twinges, but they never worked as well as i hoped.

With all that, i still need to work on tweaking my nutrition somehow, since i still had cramping issues that never really went away. I forgot my mustard packets, which probably would have helped a lot, but i think i'm at least going to try the shot bloks with salt from here on out, they probably would have helped somewhat. And i still carried a lot more food than i needed.

Started the day with plain instant oatmeal and with half a banana and fruit.

2.5 bottles of Sustained Energy (about 4 scoops)

2.5 Hammer Gels Raspberry, I tried to alternate Choc/Raspberry to have a fake Chocolate Raspberry cake but everytime I reached back I came up raspberry.

1 L water with Nuun tabs (citrus)

1/4 of Maple Nut cliff bar

2 very tiny golf ball size roasted salted red potatoes

2 bloks of Cliff shot bloks

1 bite of a lemon girlscout cookie

Exactly four items from a chex mix bag

1 bite of a half a hammer bar, immediately spit out

    About 3 oranges.

1/4 liter of E2 mix. Bleh.

I don't normally of stomach problems mixing stuff but I did Sat. Oh well.

Oh I almost forget. About 3/4ths of a double burger Warrior Mark's own burger that he started off for me. Thanks Mark! Real food was pallatable and welcomed at that point!

I think we need to do our start own Ultra Quest version. Though here we stuff Duke777 and Freekendo with as many Breakfast Burritos and Sausage McMuffins as possible at the Blackstar gate and then send them up the Santa Anas. At every aid stations we pelt them with carnitas tacos and Coconut Simbree bars. Whoever stops eating or stops riding loses.
