I'm doing CC and planning on eating the following along the route:

    - Bite size Payday candy bars (protein, sodium, sugar)

    - Dried apricots (massive amounts of potassium)

    - Bananas

    - Water and Motortabs to drink

I've heard roasted, seasoned small red potatoes are very good for endurance events as well.

    - Cliff Shot Blocks
    - Gu
    - Water and Cytomax
    - A lot of dirt. :)

Paydays sound good. I might pick a couple of those up.

    Water
    Cytomax
    Raspberry Shot Bloks
    various fruits
    Succeed S-Caps if cramping occurs

And most importantly, whatever else looks tasty. I was mocked for eating some cold pizza during last year's MS Ride, but it hit the spot ~6 hours into the ride.

    - A Hammer gel and banana 5 mins before the start (that is my breakfast)
    - A plethora of other Hammer products (HEED, Sustained Energy, Endurolytes)
    - Ibuprofen for my knees and back
    - TUMS in case of belly ache
    - Bonk Breaker (PB&J)
    - A couple raspberry fig bars from Henry's

Probably not much else because I'll have plenty of calories in my bottle. The snacks are more for psychological value. I think it's actually better to drink most or all of your calories since it's much easier to digest in liquid form. Sometimes you just need a treat though -- something to look forward to!

You're going to eat breakfast 5 min before the start? Is that enough time to digest?

Haha, I forgot to mention Maalox. I don't expect to drink any, but I keep it on me because I have a bad stomach. Sucks.
