That Leffe Blonde is no joke either at 6.6% abv. I just finished the last of the Guinness extra stout from St. Patty's day leftovers thank goodness.
Modus Hoperandi - smuggled in from CO by a coworker. http://skabrewing.com/brews/modus-hoperandi-ipa/ It's very delicious.
Indeed it is. Last time I scored some it was from a bottleshop in Phoenix. Ska makes some solid beers, it's a shame we see so few of them. As for me, I'm giving a try to the new Anchor Saison right now. Still somewhat conflicted as to all the growth at Anchor since Fritz turned over the reigns, but their new IPA is very good, and so is this saison.
Trying to drink Jim Beam Black Label. It was recommended as being really good, but NO comparison to my regular Knob Creek, Bulleit or even the very good Kirkland branded Bourbon available at Costco.
Love my Pliny. I always seem to have a few or more bottles in my fridge. I took a few on my recent trip so I had 1 as well. Same beer, just different venue  Pliny the Elder @ Casa del via Viento, Sedona, AZ Maharaja DIPA @ The Raven Cafe, Prescott, AZ Wee Heavy Scotch Ale @ Granite Mtn Brewing, Prescott, AZ Ponderosa IPA @ Prescott Brewing Co
Anyone got a verdict on the new Stone Saison? Or willing to send one up here to Norcal for evaluation?
Nice. I just had that too, a couple days ago... Try 90 min, by DogFish Head. Pretty similar, but a bit better. IMO. Not that this one is not good.
Thanks, I tried 90-minute a while back, wasn't too big of a fan. I usually prefer DIPAs to have more citrusy/piney bite than 90 min has. I'm always game for a re-visit though .
Your right on. The 90 is nuttier, stronger malt presence. So, it makes sense that, "citrusy/piney bite" would have more appeal to you. Beer is goooood.
