Greetings everyone, I'm new to the board.

I was wondering if the collective could offer up good places to ride with the current wet conditions? That is, trails that won't suffer to much damage from a wet ride. I just got a new bike and I'm dying to ride it!

Thanks,
Art

About any trail that is made up of decomposed granite is a pretty safe bet to ride, although to find a trail thats 100% of just one type of dirt is next to impossible.I'd just wait if I was you. But, a day or two after the rain there are a lot of good places.Foremost would be the Satiago Truck Trail and then there's San Juan, both these places handle the rain about the best.Strawberry Peak in the San Gabriels is also very good for shedding water. If you are looking for something mild and short you could do Marshall Cyn in La Verne. This one will have some mud,but with the amount of horse traffic that goes through here in the rain it doesn't hurt to ride.Plus they are continually grading the trail into a very smooth road all the time.Still it is a pretty ride and I've seen a lot of wild life here.A couple bears, lots of deer and the usual bobcats, coyotes and snakes.
