I'd like to get another run in on the Exploration Trail this weekend. Do I need to worry about running in to snow up there?

Just got back from a couple days in Lake Arrowhead ~ 5800ft elevation. It was 60+ degrees during the day and around 50 at night. Exploration is a little higher elevation but I highly doubt you'll see any snow. I was kicking myself for not taking my bike or I'd have a first hand account for you...

OMG Dave!!...how do you not bring your bike when visiting Arrowhead/Big Bear??...I'm so disappointed. ; )

Hillarman: My best guess would be you'll run into patches but not enough to deter you from riding.

Don't have a first hand report for Exploration trail, but we were in Lake Arrowhead (~5800 feet) and had 5-6 inches on Thursday night. Heard they didn't get as much to the east with that storm though. Imagine there will be some snow at the top for sure, but as long as you are headed downhill prob ok, but ice in shaded areas might be more of an issue.:?:

gonna be some snow for sure, You could probably clear 50% of the ride. Just the ride up and down Keller Peak Road
