You must be watching Universal Sports! Kudo's to that guy for getting the Giro to the U.S. but I've heard nothing good about the announcers.
Still, the Giro is in the U.S. now so that's a good thing for sure!!
I ordered RAI the Italian channel for a month. I can't understand a word they say except for the riders names.
It's commercial free, very euro with weird euro promo's. I really like it!
I know how to say toreydorey which they say all the time but I'm clueless what it means.
They also say my partners last name alot. Curcione. On a translation site search, these words come up empty.
Plus, one of the announcers trails off at the end of his sentences and he sounds exactly like a sheep when he does. Toreydoreybaahhhhh...I can't listen to him lest I pee my pants laughing!
The giro has been very exciting and Levi is in 3rd right now. I think it's going to be a DiLuca, Menchov and Levi podium(not that order) but it just takes one bad day as they say and it could all change around!
Thet are saying Satre is looking pretty good and Michael rogers is right there also!! Whoo-hoo!!

Yeah, the announcers are posers. I guess we spoil ourselves with Phil, Paul, and Bobbke. They kinda rule. Great racing so far with the tough stages early. I'm just an armchair roadie, but I'm strangely addicted to the grand tours. It's really cool to see them here on the TV machine. It's my first Giro! Makes me want a skinny tired' bike. Go Levi!

    Quote of the Giro

You got to love the Manxman:

β€œIt was the most difficult. A lot of teams are getting desperate now, putting all their eggs into one basket,” Cavendish said. β€œThe reason I am so professional is that I have so much romance with cycling. I love the sport, everything about racing.”

....romance with cycling.... don't we all!

Tomorrow's (Saturday's) stage will be a classic, and maybe the best one yet.....

I think the announcers finally got the memo and have stopped mentioning Lance every couple of minutes. This is the first tour I've really followed and I don't think they're all that bad.
    Oh, and GO LEVI!

DiLuca looks doped , I know he didn't have the best TT but to be able to ride away from every body like he did after 6.5 hours was super human .

I heard that yesterday and was like, "wha?"!

    Funny!

Though, for some reason, I felt the close-up shots of his pink shammy were even funnier. Looked like a giant piece of pink bubble gum or something.

I also love when he says "Diquigiovanni" really fast...sounded like he was saying "d!ckweed giovanni"...lol.
