I rode aliso el moro and Laguna yesterday and woke up with a tick in my leg. #-o With the newly grown tall grass on the trails the chances of getting them on you is alot higher. It's leg was barely sticking out so I wriped it out theres quite a big hole in my leg for such a little bug.

My last ride at Aliso on Thursday, I came out with three ticks. Lots of new vegetation=lots of ticks.

Jose,
I woke and felt a little bit of pain on the backside of knee, then I looked in the mirror and I saw a good sized spot, I think you would have noticed a bump or some pain by now if you got one.

Yeah there does seem to be a lot of ticks this year. I had one on my leg from an Aliso ride a couple weeks ago, fortunately spotted it right as I got home.

hey shinnie, you mey have gotten one on fridays nites ride.?

I want to recommend to all using tick repellant. Get DEET. At least 30%. It should be listed as an active ingredient on the insect repellant. Apply that stuff from the knees down, at least. But, don't spray it on any synthetic plastics or it will melt it. Ticks are no joke, dude. Search online about the diseases you get from them. Yikes.
