I know this forum is for mountain biking... But I'm casted up on one arm for another 8 weeks, and I need to ride. I figure somebody has a road bike that's collecting dust.
    59-62cm with gears.
Have cash, or can trade for firearms.

I've got a really solid indoor trainer you can use. It's helped me stay in shape after broken collarbone, etc..

I really appreciate that kioti. Very generous. I'm doing spin classes at 24h fit 4 days a week. .... Almost sick of it....

A slick mounted to the MTB on the trainer in front of a TV is waaaaaaay better than spin classes. You'll be in shape, but not in cycling shape from most spin bikes/classes...and spin classes can make your cycling form a lot worse, from saddle fit to cadence.

My away bike is a Chinese Schwinn. Al Aly frame, It was 3oo with bag, extra tubes, tool kit, pump, water bottle rack. I rode that bike so much I wore the back tire out, which is just what a road bike wants, miles and miles. I would sit in the hotel room at night watching the tour and true the wheels. Cheep bike, great thrills. Cheep road bikes are sweet, they do exactly what you want them to do until you can get back into the big hills.
    Happy trails
