NE winds 15 to 25 mph, higher in the mountains and canyons!
The latest forecast is calling for 80 degrees and strong wind. That means just three things, hydrate hydrate hydrate.
This event is not about us. It is for those of us that are truly questioning if they can do it at all. It is for those that will be working to beat the cut off times.
Infortunately, we are not even replacing anyone who drops out at this point. Number plates have been assigned plus all the names and info have already been entered into the timing software.
In addition, we have over 200 people on a waitting list. So the spot you are looking at would have gone to the next name on the list anyway.
Come join us for the Traverse in June.

Now THIS is why I volunteer!!!... basically standing there for 6 hours cheering on guys & girls that have made a commitment to do something beyond what they normally would do... uhhh, never mind the beer waiting at the finish line.
I ususally ride this event every 3 or 4 years... but I find that I have a lot more fun helping people reach beyound themselves. You're taking part in an adventure that others only dream about...
This is something that you'll remember the rest of your lives... one of life's a defining moments... something that 99.9% of the population will never do. They'll just read about it in the papers or hear about it from friends or the TV while sitting on that proverbial couch.
I say let the wheels roll and enjoy the ride...
Good luck to all and I'll see all you winners at the bottom of Upper Holy Jim... on your way to the finish line. :bang: yeah!
