Steve Wolf has done some nice video's but this one is great. Having been raised in Nor-Cal, maybe I am just a little prejudice...I love those trails and wish I could spend more time in Tahoe. The bike season is very short up there and some stuff is still under snow.

If you have not riden the Flume do yourself a favor and get to Tahoe this summer. The riding is first class and it never gets hot in Tahoe, most of the rides I have done have been on the cool side. Be prepared for afternoon thunder showers.

Mucho Thanks Steve, my motivation to plan a Tahoe trip is in high gear.

that is a very nice video. What part of Tahoe is the Flume on?

When are going to Tahoe Steppie? That would be sweet to extend our Mammoth trip for a couple days in Tahoe.

The Flume is on the Nevada side. Can be done as a out and back from Spooner Lake. The common way is to pay $8 to The Flume Shuttle Service and start at Mt. Rose/Tahoe Meadows. If you shuttle you start on the Tahoe Rim Trail, that section is closed to bikes on odd days of the week. The trail options in that area are many and will keep you busy for days.

Scott (STJunkie), Mike (PainFreak) and I are talking about a Tahoe trip, but at this point it is only talk. About adding it to your Mammoth trip that is a posibility, it is only 4 hours to Tahoe from Mammoth.

That's kind of what I had in mind if I could get my family up to Tahoe someway. Maybe I'll fly them into Modesto then pick them up there???
