It looks like you pushed the big red button and are now rebuilding everything from scratch. That can't be fun.

I'm having the same issue as Abui, where after signing in I'm immediately taken back to the main landing page and asked to sign in again, or I get the permission denied message.

Anyway, good luck with the overhaul. That virus/trojan must have been seriously bad.

I wish it were as simple as big red button and then rebuild from scratch. That would have saved me lots of time :)

"...the good news is that so far I haven't seen any evidence of the malicious code that was raging havoc."

    1. Thanks- I know how hard you and Moka have been working!
    2. If you "haven't seen evidence of malicious code," how soon before you resubmit the site to Google?
    3. Have you taken care of the URGENT matter yet?

    1) :)[insert smiley here]
    2) Sent a resubmission thing about half an hour ago.
    3) Check your email. Sent you a CSV last night before all the server work.

edit: Looks like some smiley images are broken. Adding that to the list.
    edit2: Fixed the smiley thing

Otherwise it seems to be working for me...

And am I going crazy or did the color just change from brown to blue?

I was playing with the styles a bit. I'll have to sit down later and hammer out a good looking brown style to go with this new layout along with the good ole STR logo up top. Lower left corner there's a drop down to choose different styles, btw.

Can I get people's opinion on something? How do you guys feel if I made http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/ the homepage? It would have recent topics, the occasional poll, articles, etc. Seems almost redundant to have that first homepage and then this page.

    Thanks for the update!

I imagine 'social groups' may not be highest on the list of priorities, but I'll list what I am seeing in hopes that it gets addressed eventually:

    1) Social group threads are being shown 'oldest post first'. I tried changing my personal settings to 'newest first' and it only changed in the main forum and had no effect on the social groups threads. I like the oldest first in the main forums, but it makes sense to me to have the newest first in the social groups as it has been from their inception. Even if I click the "fast forward" button that claims to take you to the last post, it only takes me to within about ten pages of the latest post.

    2) A second thread was started in the SCV Dirtbags group (titled "Woot") that is not needed and could be deleted. I tried to delete it (being the creator of the group), but it only appears to have disabled it although it is still listed. If it has to stay, I guess it got started in response to this current situation.

In short, I thought it was put together pretty well as it was so if it got back to the way it operated previously, I'd be quite pleased.

    Thanks!

The "forums" page is where my favorites link takes me. I rarely visit the current homepage.

-I prefer the look of the original page (clean/organized/simple)
-I do not like the look of most web forums (cold/cluttered/lifeless)
-Do whatever is in the best interest of... You! (template building/time commitment)
-Design the site however YOU want (change may be a good thing)
-The 6 pictures on the old homepage were cool (community/memories)
-Ability to keep track of threads where (I) posted was a nice "home page" feature
-Stumbled upon quite a few quirks... I'm sure they'll be taken care of in a few days!
    -Keep up the good work!

BTW- The URGENT matter has been resolved! \\:D/
