You can check out Redbull TV for live streaming and replays of the XC, XC Eliminator, and DH races. http://live.redbull.tv/

They moved it to a different channel on FIOS and we've been getting it lately (it was blacked before).
I've DVRd a bunch of stuff.
Check out the Cape Epic show - several day, 2-person team, stage race through South Africa.
    Excellent. Very well produced.

There is also a DH World Cup show, a show on the women's Tour de France, and a weekly 'this week in cycling' show that wasn't bad.

I also taped an Xterra show that had Peter Sagan riding a new Cannodale MTBike in Spain. I didn't know he rode mountain before road.
He is damn good. He said dirt is where his heart is at.

Did you know that he participated in one of the local Over The Hump MTB races back in May of 2011? If I recall correctly he won the Pro race and I seem to recall that his brother was here too.

I believe he had just finished the Tour of California a few days earlier.
It was beyond amazing watching him literally "bump shoulders" with one of our beginner racers. LOL!

Three things I will remember about that day:
-He was not giving it his all. (Effortless)
-He was pretty mellow / quiet!
-That was the day I officially became a fan!!!

Back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Question: was it an optical illusion or do UCI XC pro's "spin" at a completely different (and faster) rate than the rest of us. On the smooth downhills, I kept wondering why they prefer spinning rather than shifting into a harder gear. On the ups, I would have also thought they would have (collectively) chosen a harder gear or two (on at least a few of the climbs). Maybe it was my TV. All I know is: If I try spinning like that for an extended period of time, my heart rate would reach 275!

I just watched the Cape to Cape in Australia. Nice to see the trails down there.
The also highlighted a paraplegic rider, very courageous.

Wrong thread, Bing. This is the lycra thread. Your long-haired hippie freak mosh-party DH boys are being discussed over on the Fantasy WC DH Thread. We only discuss serious riders (meaning ultra skinny) on this channel.

The Sagan bros were also rocking shoe covers at that race.
The next year story was (pic of signing above I think) he was gonna race again; but couldn't race in an unsanctioned race.
