in there for about a year or more. However the lady that was running the place was really nice and was knowledgeable on the products I was asking about (kids bikes). I say give them a go!:bang:

They have one here in my beloved Costa Mesa and will go their when I am desperate and need a part ASAP. They are kind of on the pricey side and the sales they do have are not stellar. The people at the Costa Mesa shop are very nice.

They arent bad. I use them only if I need a part yesterday, since The Path and Adrenaline are so far away. typical LBS. I prefer Path just because I like to walk thru the piles of parts and touch the shiny ones.

If you need repairs, NOBODY beats the Bike Company on Bake. They are snooty since anything less than an intense/SC/ibis is crap, but once you get past that, they know what to do, do it well, and usually I get next day repairs. The best shop in South OC.

well they got them in now. I rode the Reign 1 they had, thats how I fell in love with the thing. I think they have Trances too but since I already have a XC bike I didnt think to look at them...

I'm really over the snotty places, there is one near my work and I can barely handle the guy. I do like the Path but like you said its kinda far for an LBS, my L is different then other peoples L's I guess, Thnaks everyone for the honest break down...I will give them my stumpy to tune to see how it goes...

OH yeah I meant one planet

sweet i'll stop by there this week :bang:

Make sure you ask the guy how much it weights, oh yea call them too, they only had one medium Reign 1 and a small reign 2. who knows who might have bought it.

Very friendly shop. I have a Giant XTC as my SS, and I snapped my derailleur hanger(when it was still a geared bike), Kristen the owner hooked me up with new one. They sell Giant and Trek mt bikes. If you ride Giants or Treks. You should consider this shop.

I dont have a Giant...yet

which reign are you looking at getting the standard or x?
the Reign one is the one in my price range. the X would be sick, but thats more bike than I need. Even the R1 is very plush compared to what Im use to....

its a good bike for the money, but i would even go as far to say that the standard reign is more then you'll need for the local stuff we have..

ya but hopefully I just don't ride my own backyard all the time, would love to take trips to Bear and Mammoth eventually.

ahh ok, then it will work good for you... i'm pretty happy with how my reign rode at BB and mammoth.

just about a year now, once of the seatstay bearings went bad but it gave me a reason to go for enduro bearings. its been running smooth ever since. I wouldn't mind if the frame was a little lighter like the 08's though.

Hmmm I read the same thing on MTBR.com about the bearings...I hope they solved this issue...

Two Wheels One Planet

If you're a Giant rider go see Jeff over at the Lake Forest location. I was in there last week just killing some time and found that not only did they pretty much have everything I needed, but they are a great bunch of guys and actually have a little customer-first attitude.

No offense, but there are a lot of shops out there where you walk in and if any of the college-aged employees bother to get up and ask you if you need help, its a fricken act of god.

Jeffs a good guy and they specialize in Giant and Trek.

Its going to be my outpost from this point forward.

i bought my trance x2 from them last jan and after all it was a good deal i got (a least i want to think that )
