Ended up bumping into another racer that stopped in the middle of a climb, dropped my water bottle at the end of the 1st lap and didn't have my seatpost torqued properly, so my saddle dropped 3" by the time I started the big climb on the 2nd lap #-o

Anyway, here's my race footage! Check out that photo finish (I won by a nose hair!)

    That guy looks familiar... ;-)

Fun race made even better when followed by a Scapel 29er test ride for my "cool down", followed by a proper cool down, followed by a bacon guacamole burger with extra fries from Islands followed by a truck load of chocolate chip cookie dough and three tums.

It was great weather and I enjoyed seeing all the kids out on the course. Everyone seemed to have a smile on their face.

Dang! That was you... I was one of the two guys that almost ran over you...LOL. I was coming around that corner fast and couldn't even begin to slow down enough on that slippery gravel... all I could do was say "sorry, sorry" as I weaved around through the weeds. Glad you're okay! I didn't see the crash itself but saw the dust and your bike still moving across the trail. You were just getting up as I came by. Hopefully you were able to finish your lap without too much discomfort.

Yep. They took one lap off from each category due to concerned participants. I was bummed at first, but thankful after the race.

Fun race, great course! Pretty sure I finished last in my category, but I haven't raced for a couple years and had a pretty bad accident earlier this year. Didn't matter though, still had a good time. I brought my cousin along...he's not a rider but he really dug the scene.

Can the Mt. Sac course be pre-ridden? I see that the course is uploaded on geoladders, but it looks like it cuts through the campus.

    Question, for this weekend

Is the track configuration the same for all categories, or differ per levels ?

Is anybody interested in pre riding the Mt. Sac course? If so, shoot me a text (714) 269-2569. I'm thinking around 9am. I'm just going to do one slow lap. I'm also using my Garmin to figure out the course.
