we will be marking the course early saturday morning. we will start to mark the 2nd half of the course first because it will have the most arrows. the 1st half is really simple. hopefully someone who has camped there can tell you how it is. the park number is (909) 599-8411. good luck & see you this weekend.

Just checked on camping, looks like there are no spots left. Anybody know of any alternatives in the area?

i checked www.hotels.com in san dimas area & found a few places under $100. if you get to bonelli at 7am sunday, you can pre-ride the course as a warm up. it's short enough to not get burned out before the race. not sure where your driving in from.

Yup, all booked. Not worth the hotel since I'm just coming from the SFV. I'll prerun the course the day off as Omar suggested.

What a bummer. I was stoked that it was a longer race. The course is awesome by the way.

I second the "bummer". I can see where some beginners might struggle with 3 laps and maybe some of the slower sport riders might have issues with 4. But I'm really surprised that some expert riders "complained" about 5 laps given that 5 laps would be a proper length and duration of 2 hrs plus or minus a bit. 5 laps shouldn't be an issue for Expert/Pro riders. But then again if it rains...then 4 laps is wonderful! LOL.

i knew some people wouldn't want the laps cut down, but we organizers are on a mission to bring more & more mtn bikers into racing. if we are not careful with offering the right experience, 1st timers will be last timers all in 1 day. for you guys wanting more saddle time, i am planning on putting on an endurance event at bonelli soon. i have a different format in mind. if you haven't registered your email on www.CycleEventsCompany.com you may miss updates of upcoming races. sorry for the loss of 1 lap, but you may be glad after tomorrows race. see you guys tomorrow morning.

I'm eating my words now. I'm glad it was only three laps. A fun, but tough course. Third place for me in the sport 30-39 class.

Took a pretty nasty spill on the third and last lap. Right before the maintenance yard prior to the road crossing. Nothing broken, just some scabs and a shallow gash. Sore ribs. Will all heal well in time for Mt.Sac! See you all there.

Omar - as always great work!
