Okay...I'm willing to wait for the new Haro's to work their way into the market...but in the meantime, what are your thoughts on the Transition Preston FR...I just started mtb'ing and so far been soley single-trackin' it, but would like to FR a little bit.

If you're looking for an all-arounder at a good price, a Santa Cruz Heckler isn't a bad bike at all. Dino recently bought one and seems to really like it.

Get a Huckler, they are reasonably priced and you can huck till the cows come home and not worry about a thing. How big do you plan on going?!?!?!

I've ridden Del Cerro, there are some pretty big gap jumps there. Personally I don't hit them but I do like flying down the s/t there.

The Preston is a nice bike . It rides well on singletrack . It is hard to make it light . It has short travel but can handle the bottom outs from freeride . The problem is it bottom outs (with any plushness in the set up).
The Heckler is a better all arounder IMO . Not as stiff in the rear as a Preston , but you won't even care .
