They came, we rode, we had a blast!

Tour de Chula Vista Part Dos

More pictures, we never touched Sweetwater, East Bonita or Eastlake, next time.

 

Looks like you guys had a great time. Jose did a good job planning and organizing the ride and my other buddies helped out.

Hope we see more of STR riders down here agian soon, so we can show them some more stuff. Pablos, pepper tree, death, black beauty and bend wheel and ............... just to name a few.

Jose, see if you can arrange another one with the guys.

Wow, what an incredible ride it was. I have to say, if you haven't ridden with these guys from down south or been in their neighborhood for some damn fine riding, your missing out on some serious sweetness. Jose, Greg, Darryl (sp?), Milt, were the most gracious host and tour guides anyone could ask for. They put together a very well rounded ride with a ton of fun stuff. This is one of those areas that if you've never ridden there and then finally do....you ask yourself why in the he!! didn't come down here ten years ago to take advantage of the bountiful trails they have. Our awesome hosts informed us that what we rode today wasn't even the tip of the iceberg...we got 14.14 miles in with 1685 feet of elevation gain. Poco Loco is bigger than the pics will detail...took my third try to get it right and my fourth to make it look good....sooo much fun.
I can't thank you guys enough for setting this up and inviting down to share some of your treasures with us. If they ever invite you...accept the invite, you won't be dissapointed, and make sure to bring your A-Game, cause theres some ridiculously cool stuff there.
Boo hit the teeter twice, the second time she looked like she has been doing it for years, I'm so proud of her for doing it. She made it the first time, but she wasn't satisfied with her performance and decided to show us how its really supposed to be done...awesome job mama!!!
Everyone that showed up had a great time, smiles were everywhere, weather was great...oh yeah...hydration was a key measure we all made sure to achieve, as it was a bit warm, but it felt great as there was a slight breeze to keep us temperate.
To Travis(?) and Milt, thanks for hangin' with me while I fixed a flat, and I'm sorry for holding the rest of the group up for it, but at first I couldn't get any air in the tube until Milt stepped in applied a majic touch to the valve, thanks Milt.
All in all...AWESOME!!!

It was coming down on Dysentery, on a flat single track but my front tire went off the trail and I went the opposite side, no big deal, is the shoulder that will take a little longer to fix:?:

Hello all,, thanks for a good time this morning. Sorry i cut it short, heat got to me and promised my parents were having lunch. We need to do this more often, maybe we start earlier. Thanks agian all!! It felt good to be back riding down there.

 

We do this rides just about every sunday at 8:00 from the Performance off Bonita Rd., you guys can join us when you want.

Thanks to all the new people showing up. It was a fun social ride.It was a great group & it was a fun ride today. I'm glad to see some new peeps show up & ride on the trails down here. Come join us again in the future. Would love to have you again.

On the man-made drop, he launched it, and I swear, when he landed it was like an MX Missile just landed as is rear tire came off the bead, there was rocks flying everywhere....

 

Not kidding, at Sanctuary he went down flying, I though he was going to run me over while I was taking pictures. We have very good riders down here, good guys to learn from.
