please post ONE favorite shot of yourself riding if you have one. explain what it is that you like about it and the location and the photographer.

here is mine. i did a hint of photoshop work, only altering the color of this shot taken by neil (1x1clyde). shot was taken at the top play area at santiago oaks. i absolutely love the desolate feel of the shot, the scorched terra firma and the hazy hills in the background give it an almost unearthlike feel. thanks neil!

What makes the picture special to me? :-k
    1) It reminds me of the good times the mountain has shown me over the years 2) Reminds me of my friends (Sprockethead, Slowspokes and Ahimanic) 3) Reminds me how much I TRULY enjoy freeriding 4) Reminds me that life is not all about--- work.. work.. work.#-o 5) It was the only flattering photo anyone has ever posted of me! :D

That's an easy one. This is last year on the Kessel Run trail in Fruita. The trail snakes downhill, criss-crossing and winding through a ravine created by 2 parallel ridges, each ridge only about 10-15 feet high. It drops maybe 100 feet in 2-3 miles.

It was my first time in Fruita and my first trip down Kessel Run. That first run down, is without a doubt the most fun I have ever had on a bike. It's the kind of thing where it's always fun, but it will never be as fun as the first time. It brought such a smile to my face I was actually laughing at the bottom. I love it because everytime I look at it, I am instantly taken back to that time and space and remember what an effing blast it was.

A friend of mine set up ahead of time and snapped the pic.

This is one of my favs. IT was taken at the Georgia Intl Horse Park - site of the first Olympic MTB race in 1996. It is my lunch loop as it's only 4 miles from my office.

This pic is from a fast, swoopy section that you can boost over a rooty drop and rocket back up the following climb.

These pics are from my favorite place to ride - Pisgah Natl Forest.

One of my favorites was taken on a "Noble" adventure put on by J+A. It's not me riding, but the fun of riding and hanging out with friends.

These are the days of our life.....

One of the best days on a bike was the last day of the 7 day Durango to Moab bike trip taken overlooking Castle Valley... an incredible day and place.

Worst day was the result of falling 70 feet down a cliff on the Strawberry Peak Trail several years back. It's the one trail Nancy won't let me ride!

Finally, best day off the bike was helping to collect 135 bikes in one day and delivering them to several local children's charities. I'll never forget the looks on the kids faces...

You could say that biking has given me so much... good, bad and in between... just like life.

Ya, that first pic was me about 50 lbs ago.

I only posted one photo. That second pic was just to give "Fired Yo Momma" another shot of the trail.

I did have a hard time deciding between the one I posted and the shot Justin got of me at SART last week--the one where I'm half in shadow and half in sunlight. That pic turned out rad!!

    I said MOST! :D

I just went through my entire photo list and can't really find one photo that is my absolute favorite. I had 4-5 and liked them all for different reasons.

I guess that right at this moment I can pick this one:

We'd been riding for around 25 miles and almost 4 hours. I was easily still smiling. We were lucky enough to ride with 50~ other peeps on a perfect weather day in So Cal.

I was only halfway through my ride for the day, but wouldn't have traded it for anything.

Thanks to Noel for the photo during the Newb ride at Tierjas Creek this past weekend.

That's a bitchin photo. I'd say that even if I hadn't taken it!
