Your Ipod still under warranty? Mine stopped working too and I'm outside of the warranty. But I'm thinking of using an aftermarket repair place. The $250 non-guaranteed repair quote by Apple is pretty ridiculous. Apple won't even send you back your broken Ipod if they can't fix it.

However, I've had an iPod and a Nano both fixed by Apple and returned to me practically brand new. If you're under warranty, you're golden. I highly recommend buying Apple Care. It's good insurance and at $60 it's a deal when you need service. FWIW.
