It took me a few runs to get the timing and spacing down. I hit the double with just enough speed to clear them, pump into the next small table (they are really lippy), than scrub the last. Its very easy to over shoot the 3rd jump.

2014 appears to be the summer of Lippy.. they don't have the funds to build anything new so they are going to build lips on everything :)

I like that they are making changes already and it's early season.. by end of summer we may not recognize the versions of the trails we have right now!

I was told they had a great year last MTB season and even better year this season. The season passes should have given them a nice buffer of cash.

My source could be wrong. But views are quite different across departments. At least during my last conversation with them they didn't appear to be short on cash..

Perhaps they are saving cash for some big things or the green trail.

Oddly enough I would always overshoot the first one, not be able to recover fully and have to pump hard to clear the second one.

I like that a lot of the bigger features have speed check features before them, like the step down to berm before the 650b jump on Party Wave and the step down before the big table on Miracle Mile. If you can clear those you know you are in good shape to hit the bigger feature without having to brake-check.

We couldn't make it up last weekend.. where exactly did they install the new Westridge tables? Did they rework an existing section or is the section you guys are referring to completely new?

Sure they are making some $$ but not enough to help them recover from such a crappy snow season. Plus they are for sale so those who want to sell really don't want to put $$ back into something they're ready to get out of.

and yes you are right, everyone has an opinion but not everyone has the true facts!

As far as them changing things weekly, that's basically a gift from the park builders, they enjoy changing things to keep everything fresh just as they do in the winter. It's the same guys, they love their job. Make sure to say thank you when you see them watering those berms as you pass by!!

I never really cared much for the whoop section. I'm hoping to make it up Friday if I get over this cold.

Im pretty bummed they took out the whoops, those were pretty fun. Now theres that akward step up to a table. The step ups easy but I always feel weird and rushed into that table

That section was pretty sick! it was a little freaky hitting the double to the table and then another table..i found the first two features to be easy but the last table did feel sketchy...cause i have lack of ballz lol. I heard the whoop section was kinda whack...the jumps are definitely the most lippy jumps ive hit!

Ok but still makes way more sense at the trail enterence.

And westridge merging with the green is recipe for disaster. That trail has the most issues between riders and now they want to run the beginners into it.#-o

Winning comment! I hope they build some drops. It would be great to see two or three drops of different sizes next to each other. Different sizes for different skill levels.

Mfoga, Westridge and the new green trail or only supposed to merge for a short section. They could create side by side trails separated by rope, dirt, etc.... The trails merge on the straight section just before the whoops and un-merge before the whoops end according to the trail map. It could be good or bad, it depends how Snow Summit designs this project.

As Surlygal mentioned, PROPS to the trail crew!!! Those guys make me happy.
