So I had a great first ride back in SoCal cruising around Aliso this afternoon!

...until I thought I'd explore Five Oaks (that Path video had me drooling while in TX). I managed to quite spastically bite it while climbing that first steep section right after the tight trees and narrow bridge. Hey, cut me some slack, it’s been months since I’ve climbed anything substantial.

Anywho, I think I may have landed in some vegetation that looked suspiciously poisonous. The best part is that I was thoroughly coated in and scratched by the stuff as I held my bike from falling into the ravine.

Sorry about the short-story long, but anyone know if the ivy or oak is prevalent along that trail? I didn't stick around to key-out the species of plant I was tangled in, so I took the precaution of vigorously scrubbing myself in some ivy-away stuff. As far as I know I’m not very sensitive to the ivy, but if I am, this would be the time I find out the hard way! Growing up in South Texas most things had thorns that dealt instantaneous pain, not this delayed onset “toxin” bologna…

Well if it was poison oak then all I gotta say is good luck. PO was not very kind to me few months ago. :(
