Here's my pup's - Kona and Kimbo - both rescued from a shelter, they are actually brother and sister.
We rescued snow about 7 years ago, she was so abused and thin. She is full husky, but doesn't talk or bark. She has the piercing crystal blue eyes, when she is playing joe cool.

This is my ridgeback. She is 1.5 years old and she dislocated 2 of her toes on Friday during a mountain bike ride with me. At the end of the ride my wife was up on the other side of a ravine and she wanted to get to her so she jumped down through a bush that turned out to be a bit of a drop off. She couldn't walk and I carried her out and ended up in the doggie ER till midnight Friday night. She has to wear the splint for 4 weeks, she is bummed.

man's best friend I never cared too much for golden's until I rescued one 15 years ago. My family has since loved and lost several, but Kenai is becoming one of the best companions my family has ever had. Here he is waiting for my kids to catch up at Kelso Dunes in Mojave.
Scooby needs a new home My boy Scooby. My wife and I rescued him from a Lab rescue in April 2009, a couple of months after our 10 year old lab passed away. He is a pure bred Black Lab approximately 3 years old, neutered and microchipped male, 84 pounds. He was a malnourished 71 pounds when we found him. He truly is a beautiful boy, and gets compliments from people daily. We have nursed him to good health and he is energetic, active, and loves to play with my boys (5 and 7). And he craves singletrack! My dilemma is that he needs a lot more attention than we are able to give him, along with some basic training to learn some limits. He has a bit of separation anxiety, and gets scared during storms. He has never ever shown the slightest inclination of dominant or aggressive behavior - in fact sometimes he thinks he's a lap dog. I raised and trained my previous Lab Pluto to be one of the best family dogs anyone has ever met, and I know Scooby can be too. Between hectic work schedules and kids weekend schedules we are not around enough for him, and consistently out of town. Anyway, this decision has not come hastily, but if I can find the right home for him, he, and I, would be happier. He needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him, or has another dog as a playmate. PM me for further info. Zip/Clark
That's a beautiful Lab.We also have a full blooded female black Lab at home that looks exactly like yours.Like yours,she was also a rescue. We also found out the previous owners tried to beat her into submission. She was one when we got her and weighed only 47lbs.She's been with us now for 4yrs.,and is a healthy 67lbs.I'll keep an ear out if someone is looking for a good dog and companion.-Lloyd :wave:
