What I don't get is how the Bren-stapo can capture all the undocumented riders on vid, but the people at the Oaks can't uncover the funky Phantom....

    Caught! Sort of....

Was riding oaks today and saw a few police cars and rangers at the top of Robber's peak, by the power lines. A number of them were standing at the scene of the crime. First heard it from a bunch of younger guys riding that a ranger had caught the guy and his bike, but he was unable to keep him. The culprit took his bike and rode away. Obviously by the time the police showed up he was gone. Continued on my loop and on my way out, I saw another guy that had more details. Apparantly the ranger caught him and his bike, took a picture of the guy, and confiscated the "evidence". Since a ranger can't use force to detain someone, the guy took his bike and rode away. Hopefully the police can ID the guy and catch him. At least I hope he's done leaving his doodie on the trail. If he's caught I think a fair punishment is for all the people that have run through his crap are allowed launch their own poop at him.

That's good news. Hopefully it's a disgruntled hiker using a bike as a cover-up, and not a rider.

Why can't they use force? They are law enforcement.

Kinda Funny huh. But im sure they can post up a 10 page letter on how hard it is to catch a pooper. At the same time they site 100 examples on illegal activity by MTBers with Video proof. Fine them, ticket them and jail them, but the pooper they let go????????????? At the same time you can get busted for relieving yourself in the middle of the desert (ZZYZXX exit) for doing the same thing. Co- worker got a 300$ ticket. I realize these are different parks and different owners. Just saying. Look who's watching.

If you have ever gotten the runs from a restaurant, 90% chance you ate someone's feces because they crapped and didn't wash their hands - or they didn't wash the produce after the pickers touched it.

You see the port a potties out in the fields, but have you ever seen soap and water out in the fields that are picked by humans?

    - not to mention the chemicals that are sprayed out there.

    Plain and simple.
