In fairness, try to order some green or even mango Kings when they are not ready.....it is very common to get the "6 weeks more" crap for several months on end!
And Hadley colored hubs, fughedaboudit!!!! Those hippies are the worst with their false promises....there are reputable shops that wont even consider selling colored Hadley hub wheelsets since they know Hadley will almost never provide honest feedback on wait times and the shop does not want to have to deal with angry customers. Excpetions are Larry Mettler who tries to stock colored Hadley hubs knowing this problem but other than that, no way.
My I9s I think took less than 2 months.....and that was with non stock rims (a big part of the delay which I9 had no control over), non stock colors, and a front hub that had still not been blessed by Maverick so I9 had to wait on that too. Their customer service I found to be top notch and would highly recommend them based on that alone.
Yeah don't get me wrong, for the deal I got on them and the simply amazing performance from these wheels they were definately worth the wait. I've only had 1 problem (a spoke coming loose) but that was my fault for not having checked the tension when I-9 recommends doing it after 4 hours of riding.
Rodel, I like your "excuse" for getting the King wheels......those are probably as close as you can get (as far as hubs are concerned) to the I-9's. I've got a set of CK hubs on 317's that I think I'll have Larry build up on some new rims for my 5 Spot when I get some extra cash.

I hate to say this but my wait time was about 30 seconds. They had the exact set I wanted on display at Sea Otter and I wouldn't give them back once I had them in my hands.
If you are willing to wait, they can do some wild custom colors. color fades on spokes, pick you color powder coated rims, and of course colored hubs.
Off the chart on the bling scale and the performance to back it up.

The Cannondale lefty and Maverick forks require special hubs in order to be used with their forks. The "lefty" forks are those weird looking forks that only have 1 leg on the left side.....and Maverick's require a 24mm axle.

having said that, the hub for running a maverick is much more trivial. it is actually just a normal I9 enduro hub, modified, that can easily be converted to standard axle or even 20mm which is really cool if i hate the maverick......to switch to the other configurations (ie, 20mm or standard quick release setup), simply manipulation of endcaps.

actually, i am getting better each time when i build up bikes to get them the way i want. pretty much all of my bikes are spot-on the way i want them and would not change a single thing....honestly, and i have never said that before...i hope i can keep this attitude. i thought about this yesterday and even ignoring cost, would not change a thing on my bikes which scares me
I ALMOST got new wheels for the One 9 but my new ventana (one with the copper I9s) bills came out more than i had planned so i decided to stick with my American Classics.....i love them but worry abuot reliability but will just cross that bridge if i come to it but for now, they are the perfect wheels for the One 9 anyway.
