Need to start getting some long rides back under my belt.

I'm thinking of doing the Blackstar/Motorway loop on Sunday morning if anyone's interesting in joining me.

Will probably start riding around 8:30 or so.

Thanks

What all does this loop entail? I know FXrob and I have been thinking about wanting to check Blackstar out during the winter months.

If my memory is correct............16 mile fire road climb to the top, 3 mile singletrack back down, and 7 miles of road back to the vehicle.

Nothing very techinical, just a fun steady ride.

Someone used the calender! Woot woot!! \:D/ \:D/

Church and Sunday pretty much take up my whole Sunday . . . no ride for me ](*,)

Haha, the rides the huffy thing was my doing. Once you reach 10 posts, it turns into "rider."

Pace for ride

Not sure who you were asking, but I'm doing my first Counting Coup in March, too. I did this whole ride in about 3-1/2 hours last time, which was fast enough for the cutoff time. Made it to the bottom of Silverado Motorway in a little over 3 hours (cutoff is 3-1/2 for normal start). But haven't done a long ride in like 6 weeks. So this will be a good test of whether I've regressed.

Re: Pace for ride

I need to also get ready for the VQ since I'm seriously out of shape right now.

Sunday I plan on cruising like I would for the VQ and see what type of shape I'm in.

Going to go steady but not hard.

I'll probably get to the Blackstar gate around 8:00 to 8:15.

See ya there! O:)
