The Cinnamon Shop is in Seal Beach, about a half mile from Long Beach. We start at Starbucks in Corona (7am) then ride thru Corona to Green River. Hook up with the bike path then continue on down to the beach, stopping at the restrooms ( the border between Newpot & HB )
in Seal Beach. Grab a bite to eat ( all kinds of food here) then turn around and retrace our path back. We should hit HB somewhere around 10 am.

Since I have to stay home again with sick kids, my wife just gave me permission to ride Saturday unconditionally. Woot! I'm in.

I may be able to ride then if the wife is off of bedrest and can feed herself. Please Lord!

I think it's time to start a new post from this forum if you are planning a ride. This Poll didn't work well. I'm up for anything but driving to Corona and then riding. Sorry bubs, if I'm driving someplace, I'm Mt biking!

I don't have the time for the full ride, but since you are coming to my neck o' the woods I may ride to HB and follow you in to SB.
I will look for the peloton....

I know most have started, but I think I'm going to start in HB as well, ride to SB...at least to the sweet shop (woohoo!--sorry, major sweet tooth).

We had a good size group show for our road ride this morning. I believe we had 7 or 8 that went. It was just Gurp and myself from this site. We moved along pretty good, but we had a slacker so we waited a little more then we should have. Finished the ride at 103 miles and Gurp has now had his roadie chery popped.

I was really lagging this year as one of my roadie buddies just finished 6,000 miles for the year. I finished with 3912, and this includes all the mountain biking too. Last year I was over 5,000. So it's time to turn it up a notch and get back out there.

I'm riding tomorrow, Sunday. Probably about 50-60 miles from HB heading south. I plan to leave about7:30-8am and be back around noon. Please let me know if anyone wants to go.

Sorry- I forgot to hook up with ya all coming down here.

I rode 65 miles today with a ton of Aliso Viejo and Newport hills. Felt great!

    I'm at 3000 road and 750 mt bike...don't feel bad!

Practically every part of my body hurts right now. I know it was an easy 103 miles, but it was still difficult. I'm beat. Had a good time doing it, too.

I had over 2000 miles this year, commuting, road and mtn. I think my totals were something like 800+ for mtn, 350 for road and 1100 for commuting. Something like that. I plan to do a few centuries this year, too, so I should have better totals. Not to mention that my commuting started in August, so double or even triple that for a full school year.

Maybe we should have a thread where people post their mileage totals and some goals for the new year. Hmmm...

Woohoo! Finally a New Year's Resolution that I can get into.

Sorry I missed you guys, I did get to Sweet Jills in Belmont (that's that one?); waited for a while and after about 20 minutes talking to some interesting guy that kept mumbling he always stops to talk to girls, I thought I should leave. He did give me an interesting CD, which I have yet to listen to...and invited me to email him for trekking.

Next time can I get one of your numbers?

OK, I vote for a new "New Year's Resolution" thread with the number of miles we hope to accomplish during the year.

One question, how do you figure out trainer miles, like when it's rainy?

You could put the magnet on the rear wheel instead of the front, and of course move the sensor over, that would give you the mileage and speeds and everything.

Trainer miles don't count. You have to be passing trees to count your miles.
