Hello everyone,

I need all of your eyes to be on the look out for a small Golden Willow that was stolen from my car. It was a pretty sweet set up with these parts on it:

XO triggers
XO rear der
Stylo Cranks
Cole Aries Carbo Light wheels - rare!
Formula Oro Puro brakes.
Shimano DX resin cage clipless pedals

There are only two small Golden Willows in the US right now and one guy purchased it in SoCal, so don't jump the first guy you see on a Bionicon Golden Willow. If anyone sees it, please contact me at mic at bioniconus.com

I purchased this bike for my wife, but we both loved riding it. Along with the bike, they also got all my riding gear. :(

Hope this never happens to you!

Take care,

Mic

It is black with gold lettering. Yeah, that was the first time I had put so many high end parts on one bike. The bike was stolen out of my car in Ridgecrest, CA.

I happen to have a pic of Posthole from our ride at Point Mugu last year.

He also let me borrow that bike for the Tour of White Mountains race... I rode it 56 miles at that event, at elevation. It was a perfect bike for the course, and will be sadly missed... :(

The other pic is a medium Golden Willow, note the difference where the top tube and seat tube come together between the medium and the small in the bottom photo. On the small it's straight, on the medium, it curves upward.

Kanga,
Thanks for posting a photo of the bike for me. And yes, she will be missed.

aw man that's a real drag! I actually rode your wifes bike at the interbike dirt demo.

Good vibes your way! Here's hoping you find it on Ebay or Craigslist.

that's a bummer, have you reported this to the police yet? You may want to notify some of the bikeshops/pawnshops in that area and give them a heads up if someone comes in trying to sell it or get repairs done on it. Since it is a rare frame hopefully it will stick out.

Is this something your car/home insurance can cover?

I am hopeful that it will show up on a trail or in a shop soon. Heaven knows, I am not getting any skinnier without it!

Homeowners or renters insurance will usually cover a stolen bike, so I suggest that you guys invest if you have an expensive bike.

Keep looking everyone and thanks for your help!

Sucks! I'm always sketchy about leaving my bike in the car before or after a ride if I need to run errands. I typically drop off my bike first.

So is Foesnasty's small Golden Willow the other only frame in the US?

Small Bionicon

The frame looks exactly like this... note the top tube on the Small does NOT have the radius.

Best to keep an eye out for the parts on Craigslist, bike boards etc. Mic, sorry to see you lost your baby. Let's hope whoever stole it gets the karma they deserve.
