Steven Jackson is an STR institution, plain and simple. As such, he deserves special consideration, imo. Have some of his posts crossed some line somewhere? Probably. But he's been around here for a lot longer than most, and has been contributing in his own special way without serious incident that whole time. Sure, he can be annoying as hell, but so are countless others that post much more frequently. I personally think his sense of humor is pretty weak, I mean, the wing sauce bit was old before it began. Every once in awhile, though, there is some small spark of cleverness that makes me hopeful for the future. Not holding my breath, but I try to accentuate the positive, yo. Again, he's unique to the site, and gives it just that much more color. Save the banning talk for those that truly deserve it. If you are bothered by the guy, "ignore" him--for all you know he'll have gone away.
i'm pretty sure i am on many ignore lists. i would actually feel honored if there was a whole thread about banning me. i've given the almighty a few hits for "owning the loop" all in fun. for all the pain and suffering we all do when riding we are going to let words under our skins?

There were some episodes of post whoring back in the day but I haven't seen any noticeable cases of that ever since the post count was done away with. There are some who post more than others but posting a lot of relevant stuff does not = post whoring. I've been on forums with post whores and it gets real bad. To the point where their posts are just "lol" or "I agree" or one smiley - that sorta stuff.
I post quite a bit, so hopefully no one feels like i'm "whoring". Most of the time I try to add something productive. :beer: But, as you said, George, I think the majority of the posts here are productive and useful. We've got a really group. There are always a few bad apples. Just look at that J_Sims guy. 8-[

Sometimes hes kinda funny, but other times its annoying, if hes not breaking rules then being unfunny is not a reason to ban. but if he is you should.
I'm pretty new to the site and was able to figure out that it had to be a goof. Some people need to lighten up a little (alot). The whole Budweiser thing cracks me up. Bikes with a kickstand and hot wings at Hooters its all funny. Whenever I see his name on the new posts I read those first. When is Mr. Jackson going to reply to all of this attention?
