Ride Report Southridge RR 1/12 - 1/3

Thanks...I was really surprised to see it :)

It's nice to see the ladies of STR and The Path getting some media coverage :)

Check out my pony tail...guess it was a tad windy??!!

What an awesome pic of Steph ... cool blurb too. There's a pic of Carla (cbharping) too!

Carla, Lee and Bob Burnes on Mountain Bike action too!!

Moment of truth: How often do you see a DH finish come down to a sprint? First place 35+ Sport Woman Carla Bray and 13-15 Junior Chris Meyer aim home.

MBAction had it wrong...it's Division 26 AND that's STR Bob Burnes on the Yeti not SBF Bob Burns...his company is Divison 26. :) Oh well, they tried!

I had no idea I had a new gig!
Cheers, SDYeti! There is that all important "e" in the last name that makes all the difference.
Still-it's pretty cool to get into the news.

Thankyou for posting it, Denmother, and here's to Burns and his new gig!

Like most of the photographers, it seems, no one likes to take pictures of guys racing DH on hardtails.

Thanks again denmother! I would have ever thought of going to mbaction.

They may not have got you on the DH course, but check out that focused look and classic Azonic frame!

Yep, just trying to make sure we all get our Bob Burns/Burnes straight! :)

I've walked this Earth for 33 years, from the middle east, to Africa, from the North Pole, to the jungles of Asia-and I meet another Bob Burns in SoCal who also, apparently, loves to ride and race bikes.

That's crazy.

Hey Congrats on the new bike!! Before ya know it we'll see ya on the Black Market team ;) cool group of guys. BTW yesterday at 4X they had the wood starting ramp completely torn down and removed so curious what they'll have set up this weekend?

Just a frame. Last night, I started swapping parts over, but it's not done yet. Hopefully it'll be done tonight, but I may change my mind on reusing some of the parts, so it may be rideable, but not done.

That frame's HOT. I'm curious to see what she'll look like all purtied up. 8)

To my surprise, it's a bit heavier than the Azonic, so that'll be my excuse. I could have saved a quarter pound by going with the Mob, but that would have cost about $200 more. I'm excited to get it together.

I could only hope we have a legitimate gate with lights. But realistically, if it's like last week, someone will grab a screw gun and a box of drywall screws and fab something up with left-over wood from broken up couches and box springs.

BTW, what did you do with your Yet 4X?

a slip n' slide? :lol::?::lol:
