....There are several volunteers placed at various spots on the course during practice and during the races. They have walkie talkies so that they can communicate with each other. They are usually strategically placed so that they can see up and down the course.

There seems to be a bit of confusion! Allow me to clear things up. There were (2) course volunteers within walking distance of the saddle. These (2) volunteers should be commended for quickly making their way to the fallen rider. They both had walkie talkies. They contacted race officials- many times. How do I know? Because I kept asking them if help was on the way. Help never arrived! After 30 minutes of waiting, (I) followed the racer down to the cul-du-sac.

The ONE problem (I) had was: There was a perfectly good path that led from the saddle to the water tower. Why the RHINO did not show up, I do not know. Did they ask if he was able to walk his way to safety? Meet us half way? NO! Did they ask to speak to the rider? NO! Could they have driven the RHINO (from the cul-de-sac) to the saddle? Not sure! What I do know is we spent a 30 minutes waiting for word on what to do! Never got it!

With that said, a vehicle was waiting for us once we arrived at the cul-de-sac. For that I applaud them! :clap: Once again, thank you to the race volunteers! :clap:

Jesse- Thanks for the pics! That guy in the sequence crashed pretty good on his side. He was uninjured. We were trying to straighten his handlebars for two minutes. We couldn't get them to center.... Jesse was soo bummed. He brought his camera and couldn't stand still enough to take pics! Haha!:lol:

I'm still putting the DH album together but here are a few more STR folks. Again impressive riding out there as always!! PM if anyone wants me to look you up and send to email. Photomom is the best she even offered to let me shoot next to her with one of her "Big Daddy" cameras next race. Southridge has to be the most fun and laid back race atmosphere that I know you all have to come out if you haven't been.
