Southridge Race

bummer

Looks like I am still not doing too well. I've been coughing and haven't been able to ride at all train. I might have to pass this time. Bummer.

See you there, Trung :D
If I can I'll move up too... the more riding the better.

Impoadaddy, I hope you get well in time... If not, there's another one in May. Hope to see you there.

Anyone else going?

Hey guys,

I've decided to race this weekend! I know I am still a bit sick, but I will take tons of meds before and do my best. See you all there.

RL

yup, I'll be there, probably around 8. Make sure you know how to get, there. It can be a little confusing around Whittier (where my mom and I got lost).

I'm not at all in shape this month, but I'm getting better and better at descending and handling the bike, so I might get a worse time than I did last time.

See you there, look for a young kid with bronze helmet and red NRS.

We didnt see you out there thefarleft. Change of plans?

Anyways, I did todays race and it was fun. Jumped onto sport class for my first time and I placed first. I was a bit nervous about doing two laps but I somehow managed. The did change the course a little. The first concrete where you usually cross to get to the next one was where it changed. Instead of crossing it, you went down it so it cut about 1 mile from the course. Finished the two laps (14 mi) in about 1.29.

Hey guys,

This was my first Southridge race. Man I have to tell you, there are some very talented guys out there. Met up with Trung earlier in the morning and he gave me a brief tour of the first mile or two of the course.

I had a great time. It was a hard course to do and I even threw up half way in because I really exerted myself. It's a great feeling to have completed it and I was able to finish strong because I caught my second wind towards the last few miles.

Here's a few pics.

I won't be going next time. I'll be out of town for the weekend. But I wish I could.

By the way, how long does it take for them to post the results? I didn't stick around long enough to see what my time was.

Thanks man,

You did pretty good, 2 laps!
Man I had a hard time with one. I even hurled on mile 5. #-o

But I did have a great time.
