The exit off the 60 is Country Village Rd.

Once you get close you will know where to park. There will be 300+ people, cars, motor homes, and tents. You cant miss it.

EDIT:

That paved parking lot is exactly where the race is. Good use of google maps.

 

If in that image is all dirt east of that and its a small strip of parking then yep thats it.

Both are right if you look at the google map, its show Country Village , Bain and Mission and they are all the same and correct st. :?:

 

Its all the same street but the exit sign off the freeway says Country Village. If you look for the Bain or Mission exit you wont find them.

 

So did anybody out there today get pics?

 

Is there practice tomarrow Sat...???? if so what time ...???? gunna give a try and see what the dH RACING IS ALL ABOUT......

yes there is practice the shuttle is from 11-4ish but you can hike it all day. ill be at the garage envy trailer if you want to stop by and say hi

What exactly does technical mean? Lots of turns and speed changes?:-k

 

I'm not racing, but I rode the course today and it was mostly marked. The sand pit won't be an issue. They've dug a little singletrack just to the left of it, so when you come to that sand pit, you'll make a sharp left. It's still soft, but will be ridable for everyone.

Good news is the steep climb the cat 1s do (if they do it, that part wasn't marked) is much more hard packed than it was for the National race last year.

 

My buddy is camped at the parking lot. Word is, the place is getting saturated.

Nothing more tech then what you ride locally every week, at least for the beginner/sport class.

Yes. I have a Tiagra (or something like that) 11-26 still in the box. I'll bring it. Dark blue Audi Allroad with rack on back and top and, of course, a Yeti sticker.

I've put a few pics up of Saturdays DH practice & the kid race. We got there to late for the XC and I didn't realize the SD was on the other side of the hill! #-o So, no pics of those races, sorry.
