You mean xc? I don't think they've announced it and it's tough to say since so much stuff around there has closed. If they run the same course they ran at the US Cup in March then it's about 4 miles and 700' per lap for the sport and beginner course. Expert/Pro course had 1 big additional climb in it. By big I mean very very steep, not necessarily real long.

The XC course is typically always the same with the exception of this last season when they had some property issues. The routes can be found on geoladders.com

    There is no CX.

The way the course is now I'm getting around 550Ft. per lap. 400ft of climbing at the very beginning and 100ft fire road climb on the back side.

Cool! That's good to know. I've never actually been to a race to watch it. Have only seen them on tv. Very excited about going out! I only live about 8 miles from Fontucky, so it's a no brainer, too! ;)

Speak for yourself. I don't mind them but it's always funny to watch the spectators that don't like them. They are part of DH races.

I say bring it and don't be shy about it.

I'll be out there if you see me stop and say hi

Well, they've always been huge in skiing, you know? And they're very popular in different kinds of racing in Europe. I guess some people just don't know....

I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!

Is anyone planning on preriding XC course? This is my first time racing at South Ridge and a preride with some STR riders would be great.

I'm going to need to preride the XC course too, but it's quite a trek from where I live and I'm maybe hoping there's enough time in the morning to do it before racing starts. Anyone know what the Saturday schedule is like? Is it reasonable to do a warmup circuit or do I have to drive up on Friday?
