I recently sprayed the rack with some lubricant and loosened the main pivot. I was having too hard a time bringing it down to pull the rear hatch up. Works better now. But I do have to be careful not to ram the rack into my paint as it swings pretty freely now.

So I got my roof rack today and to my surprise I got a black one. I love free upgrades! The installation was super easy. As everyone knows it's super solid and I couldn't be happier. The wind noise is not bad. I took it out on the freeway going 80 and it didn't bother me (that's with my bike on). uploadfromtaptalk1404414858827.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1404414868608.jpg

    Nice!
Question... do the "slide bars" that the lever/lock slides on have little teeth / groves now? thought I saw that on a new one

I wasn't aware that they didn't have them at one point, but yes they do have teeth. It's like a ratchet.
