I didn't ask who you would blame. Obviously its the idiot who misused it that is to blame. Would you be pissed? I would. Its not your fault the guy misused it, just as much as its not the gun manufacturers fault someone shot your dog. I'm upset there are guns to shoot dogs with...I can be upset that there are Shuttle Buddies to close down trails too.

With that said, I hope no trail gets shut down because someone is an idiot. I like the idea of a Shuttle Buddy, I like guns too, but people are stupid and shoot dogs and ruin things for other people. In a perfect world everyone would use it like you do, not on the trails. I could care less about the other arguments about being street legal, I would just be bummed if trails were closed because of it. Maybe you could find a way to educate you customers with stickers on the unit to remind them to stay off trails with it or something other than an owners manual that no one reads. Protect yourself with the warnings too.

The irony is that the surfers are the driving force to get Jet Skis banned in some areas - but they support the use of Jet Skis for tow-in surfing in those same areas where they want them banned. #-o

Otherwise, Jet Skis are legal in most areas.

Since I have been alot of the driving forse of oppositon here.... Let me go ahead and add some contructiveness<is that a word>

Whre I see this device having a good deal of use at, is commuting, not to the trail head, but to work, to the store ETC. I feel it could be great for the guy that has a decent bike that he likes to ride for a workout, but doesnt like to smell of sweat all day at work, something they can easily add in a few minutes to their bike, ride to work<with a helmet of coarse>, easily pack it up for security, and enjoy the day. It looks like it could be added to most any style of bike for that type of use.

As far as what I would add to it myself for that use, license mount, quieter exhaust, vin number for registration. Only real emmissions law involved with this engine is fuel evap, which coule easily be added without a major increase of cost.

The other market I see this for.... would need a bit of a redesign, but I see some duel spor riders that may enjoy a different take on their riding style..... a lightweight dual sport bike. I would go for more of a conversion kit for this idea, something that could mount in the front triangle, jockey system to actually drive by way of the chain, and have a footpeg system<I have an image in my head, just too lazy to actually drw it up. Legall additions would be a silencer, spark arrestor, vin number for greensticker registration<would only be legal were greensticker vehicles were permitted>

    Just some thoughts I have

No, what I am visioning in my head is something that would still be easily removable......

But yes, what your doing is still a moped as well....As defined by the state of California.....

I figured that's what it would sound like. Now there's a noise I want to hear while I'm mountain biking!

I absolutely love the concept, just can't stand the execution based on the noise factor.

Hearing that out on the trail would make me want to shoot it and put it out of my misery.

And if there was 2 or more? [-X

Keep working on it though. I can see these getting really popular if the noise can be decreased substantially.

I actually like this, well thought out, lightwieght, cheap to operate, plus it's local and I'm all about local. Price is kinda high, but considering all the custom parts and warranty it's a pretty good deal. Now, the noise might seem like a menace, but I'm sure when used as in the video it's just about as intrusive as those shuttle trucks, only they carry 10 or so bikes up the hill. Congrats on getting your website up guys!

How long does it have to cool off before it goes in the Camelback? I could see a melted pack and bladder if doesn't cool for a while.
